Hard Pass: What You Miss When You Hire a Press Play DJ

A push play DJ shows up with a premade playlist, presses play, and lets it run. Maybe they fade from one song to the next, but they are not creating in real time. They are not reading the room or shaping the night based on the energy in front of them.

That is the opposite of how I work. I mix live. I watch the crowd, I feel the mood, and I adjust in the moment to keep the vibe exactly where it needs to be. I love using themes, clever wordplay, requests, and unexpected blends to make transitions feel fresh and memorable.

I am not into talking over the music, blasting horns, or dropping my DJ name every five minutes. My style is about letting the music lead while still being fully present and in control of the flow. Over the years, my work in the fitness world has taken me to multiple presenter camps and auditions where I learned how to lead with poise, connect with people, and create experiences that feel polished but never forced.

When I take on an event, I build playlists that are completely customized to the couple or client. From the first song of the day to the last dance, everything is chosen with intention. I want the soundtrack to bring you back to that moment every time you hear it again!

I am not here to press play and walk away. I am here to create a musical journey that fits your people, your energy, and your vision, while keeping the dance floor alive and the memories lit.
